I was born in Mexico City, I had a wonderful childhood living a part in Spain and part in Mexico. We were 7 brothers of which I occupied the fifth place. The family was always full of life, while my older brothers were about to marry and the smallest lost their first teeth, I began to paint.

Painting on glass surfaces was my passion since childhood, as he painted with oil paint cups, plates or whatever came into my hands, which was very frustrating, because the paint dries easily fell. He also painted on a transparent paper and pasted the wallpaper to the desired surfaces and then varnishing, but did not give the result I wanted. I tried and practiced various forms of expression, such as oil painting, watercolor, inks, tempera, ink on wood, etc.

In 1977 I met a teacher who taught me the first steps of painting on porcelain. Since that day I have been living in a fantasy bubble. Having completed my first piece and baked was one of the best experiences I had lived until then. That's when I fell in love with porcelain and I love it until today.

A life plenty of inspiration

Porcelain Painting

Its fascinating texture, variety of techniques you can practice it, the excitement offered by the view out of the oven with melted paint to glass surface and sharp, the company offering such a fragile material while he paints, are a small reason that this art provokes fascination.

In addition, the world of porcelain painting is full of friendly atmosphere among all the artists who practice and that has allowed me to display my works in group exhibitions and conferences organized by associations of porcelain painting in various countries, where I also taught public lectures and seminars of this art. This keeps me in contact with sensitive and wonderful people around the world that has become a life partner. It seems incredible that a fragile material of such strength and being so cold, a so many hearts around the world in a way so warm.

From this forum I am sending a warm hug to all those brothers, partners in life I found my way through the porcelain.
